Mr Michael Sullivan

Michael Sullivan has been a Governor and Headteacher at Forest Hill School since November 2014. Prior to that he was Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for student outcomes. Michael’s career has been entirely in all ability community schools. He has a passionate belief in the power of education to transform the lives of pupils from every background and this is at the core of his commitment to Forest Hill School. His belief in the school is reflected in the fact that his son was a student for seven years before going on to university.

Mr Jack Green

Jack Green is a Science and Psychology Teacher and the Head of Year 10 at Forest Hill School. He initially worked at the school as a Teaching Assistant before completing his teaching training, and then returned as a qualified teacher in 2015. He has been a member of the school governing body since 2018. Jack believes that the boys at Forest Hill School are unique individuals and is passionate about helping them develop and reach their full potential. He became a governor to help the school reach its goal of being an outstanding boys’ school, to become more involved in the wider community, and to further develop his own skill set.

Ms Tracey Gration

 

Tracey Gration was appointed an Associate Governor by the London Borough of Lewisham in May 2017. She has spent over 20 years working in financial services regulation, both for the financial services regulator and for large insurance companies. Roles have involved driving high standards of governance within businesses, preparing for regulatory inspections and addressing any subsequent reports and actions, as well as running departments and ensuring budgets are met efficiently and effectively. Tracey believes that providing young people with a great education allows them to develop and grow and provides the skills they need to achieve their goals and ambitions in life.

Mr Clive Caseley

Clive Caseley has two sons at Forest Hill School and a daughter at Sydenham School. He believes strongly in local and community schools and wants Forest Hill to provide a springboard for success for our students. He believes it is important to invite parents into the life of the school and to communicate openly and honestly. As link governor for communication, he is helping develop further the two-way dialogue with families and our wider community. In his day job, Clive works with public services and third sector organisations seeking to improve, change and grow.

Ms Judith Ralphs

Judith Ralphs is Vice Chair of the Governing Body and has three boys (including twins) currently attending Forest Hill School. This role gives Judith the opportunity to contribute to the school’s development and strategy to ensure the progress and achievement of all the school’s young people, thus giving them the best start in life. Judith is a public health professional and strongly believes in supporting the wellbeing and social cohesion of us all and our communities.

Ms Keeley Graham

Keeley Graham is the Safeguarding/Pupil Premium Link Governor. Her career has largely been in Banking Finance and she was also a School Business Manager for six years and Primary School volunteer for over 15 years. Keeley passionately believes that education and knowledge coupled with aspirational teaching and parental engagement are key factors in unlocking a young person’s potential.

Andrew Guy is a TV Producer working with charity and non-profit organisations to optimise their fundraising capabilities. He joined Forest Hill School as a Co-opted Governor in 2017 and takes an active role in the Learning and Achievement Committee.

Mr Keith Knox

Keith Knox joined the Governing Body in 2012 and is now Vice Chair and Learning and Achievement Governor. Keith is a passionate supporter of the school, which was attended by his son Matthew. His working career has largely been spent in International Aid observing how resources spent on educating children from an early age in developing countries can bring huge economic benefits to local communities. Since retiring, he has become a Trustee and Director for the Charity ‘River Thames Boat Project’.

Dr John Perry

John Perry has been Chair of the Governing Body since September 2016 with two sons benefitting from Forest Hill School’s broad curriculum and community ethos and a daughter attending the Sixth Form. John’s particular interests are strengthening school governance and ensuring appropriate response to individuals’ Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Professionally, he has been a central government civil servant for several decades working on science and equality policies, and on corporate issues of public finance and procurement (including PFI), governance, and personnel.

Ms Victoria Pinnington

Victoria Pinnington joined the Governing Body in 2019. She is the Director, Communications and Income Generation at the Horniman Museum and Gardens, located near to the school in Forest Hill. An experienced communications and business development strategist, Victoria has over 20 years’ management experience in both private and public sectors. Prior to working in the cultural sector, she enjoyed a variety of roles in education, most recently as Head of International Marketing at King’s College London. Victoria is a Full Member of the Institute of Fundraising and a Trustee of the charity Kids in Museums and also HOME, Manchester’s centre for contemporary theatre, film, art and music.

Ms Sally Kelly

 

Sally Kelly is a co-opted governor and enjoys contributing to the strategic direction of the school. She has a son at Forest Hill School who has benefited from the strong pastoral support and broad curriculum. Sally has worked in education for most of her working life – as a secondary school teacher and senior leader. Her current role as Head of the Virtual School in a local authority enables Sally to work strategically to improve outcomes for the most vulnerable children in our society. She is also a trustee of the National Association of Virtual School Heads, a charity which aims to deliver improved educational outcomes for children in care. She believes that a rich, broad and inclusive education can be the driver for change in pupils’ lives.

Mr Tristram Kennedy-Harper

Tristram Kennedy-Harper became a governor for Forest Hill School as he feels it is important to give back to our local community. Over the past 20 years, he has volunteered for various organisations and is thrilled to be involved with this school and to support it, especially the Resources Committee work. He wishes to continue to bring his own perspective as a solicitor with a finance background to the school, and provide the best governance structure to enable all students to succeed.
