Entrance Qualifications
General Requirements
To study an AS course
- 5 Grade Cs or above, in appropriate subjects at GCSE including English Language & Mathematics. If taken at GCSE we expect at least a grade B in the subjects you intend to study.
- To study a Vocational Level 3 course
- 5 Grade Cs or above, in appropriate subjects, at GCSE plus at least an average point score of above 4.0
- A Merit at Level 2.
To study a Level 2 (Intermediate) course
- An average score of 4 points (Ds) from your top 5 GCSEs or
- A Merit at Level 1 for Yr12 students
- To Study a Level 1 (Foundation) course
- Usually Es, but this is negotiable.
- To Study GCSE English or Mathematics
- D at GCSE in the relevant subject.
To calculate your average point score: A*= 8, A = 7, B = 6, C = 5, D = 4, E = 3, F = 2, G = 1.
You add up your score and divide by the numbers of GCSEs that you have taken.
