Our Ethos

SFH6 is a diverse community where students from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds learn, thrive and succeed together in an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.

We encourage our students to be ambitious, independent and active members of the community. While we celebrate high academic achievement, with increasing numbers of students progressing to leading research universities, we are equally proud of the progress made by every student. Many successfully progress from Level 2 to Level 3 qualifications and on to higher education and employment.

We know, value and support our students as individuals. Alongside high-quality teaching, we provide a comprehensive pastoral support system that helps every student achieve their potential. Sixth Form Tutors play a central role in supporting both academic progress and personal development.

We expect SFH6 students to make a positive contribution to the Sixth Form, the wider school community and beyond. We encourage them to act as role models, demonstrating maturity, responsibility and consideration for others.

Partnership, collaboration and respect are at the heart of SFH6. By working closely with students, staff, governors and parents/carers, we continue to build a community where everyone is valued and encouraged to contribute to our shared success.
