Grammar
Literary texts and films Either one text or one film from a set list
Year 13
Year 13 builds on the topics studied in Year 12:
Aspects of society – cultural issues
Positive features of a diverse society. Life for the marginalised. How criminals are treated
Aspects of political life
Teenagers, the right to vote and political commitment. Demonstrations, strikes. Politics and immigration
Grammar
Literary texts and films; Either one text and one film or two texts from a set list

Students who choose A-Level Languages develop the knowledge and skills acquired at GCSE, gain a useful insight into another culture and reflect on various aspects of contemporary society. A qualification in a Language also looks impressive on university and career applications
